Wauwatosa Fire Stations No. 53
BACKGROUND
J.H. Hassinger was chosen for the renovation task at Wauwatosa Station No. 53, where they oversaw the extensive transformation of the initial 2485 square feet of open sleep space. The project resulted in the creation of 11 unique private bunk rooms, replacing the previous layout. Additionally, the existing communal toilet and shower facilities were revamped to establish 5 separate private toilet rooms with showers. The purpose behind this redesign was not solely to improve the living spaces but also to prioritize the firefighters' well-being.
