Working for the DPW

Plum Lake Garage

BACKGROUND

The Township of Plum Lake wanted to establish a new Department of Public Works (DPW) facility. This initiative stemmed from the township's recognition of the need for a state-of-the-art facility to efficiently manage public infrastructure and services. A 40-acre site was selected, taking into account factors such as accessibility, proximity to key township areas, and the efficient administration of public resources.

Aproach

Blue Design Group and J.H. Hassinger collaborated, to design and construct the Township of Plum Lake's new Department of Public Works (DPW) facility, known as the Garage Project. Spanning a 40-acre parcel, they cleared and grubbed the area, setting the stage for the construction of a robust steel structure. This state-of-the-art facility incorporates energy-efficient IMP panels, in-floor radiant heating, and a reliable backup power system, ensuring seamless township service even during adverse weather conditions. The end result is a distinctive and visually appealing space that not only meets aesthetic standards but is also fully functional, promising longevity and sustained utility for the Township of Plum Lake.
