BACKGROUND

The original Hartford high school auxiliary gym, constructed in the 1950s, faced a pressing demand for renovation due to various functional deficiencies that had accumulated over the decades. The aging infrastructure exhibited signs of wear and tear, with outdated facilities and equipment that no longer met modern standards. The renovation was imperative to enhance the overall learning environment, ensuring that students could participate in physical activities in a safe and updated space conducive to their well-being and development.

Aproach

The renovation of the original auxiliary gym at Hartford High School involved a comprehensive overhaul, incorporating various upgrades to enhance the facility. Among the notable improvements were the installation of a state-of-the-art lighting system and an upgraded sound system, ensuring optimal visibility and acoustics. The bleachers were replaced to accommodate a larger audience comfortably, while the gym floor underwent a transformation to meet modern standards. The entire space received a fresh coat of paint, rejuvenating its aesthetic appeal. Additionally, the inclusion of a motorized mat lift and separation screen added versatility and functionality to the gym, catering to a range of activities and events.
