Beaver Dam Community Library Renovation

BACKGROUND

The Beaver Dam Community Library needed renovations in several key areas. The asphalt roof had typical wear and tear from aging, the windows were outdated and inefficient, and the insulation wasn't as efficient as it could be. All these combined into a single renovation project to improve the space.

Aproach

The 18,310 square ft structure underwent a comprehensive renovation. The asphalt shingle roof was dismantled and replaced with a state-of-the-art metal panel roof system. This upgrade not only modernized the aesthetic appeal of the building but also entailed the incorporation of new insulation measures. Simultaneously, the dated clear-story windows were removed and substituted with cutting-edge thermal break frames and insulated glass windows. This project not only rejuvenated the architectural elements of the building but also significantly improved its energy efficiency and overall sustainability.
