Pre-Design

J.H.Hassinger is standing ready to build your dream.  We will first meet to discuss your wants and needs for your construction project. Our architects and engineers then collaborate to implement a conceptual design that aligns with your vision and goals for your business.

Financing

After we have an idea of your requirements we will be able to conceptually estimate your new project. J.H.Hassinger will develop a comprehensive budget, providing a clear understanding of the financial requirements. Whether through loans, investors, or other funding mechanisms, it’s essential to create a solid financial plan that covers all costs, including construction, permits, materials, and any unexpected expenses.

Design

The design phase consists of several stages that encourage transparency and collaboration with you, the owner.  There will be regular design meetings and updates. Each of these meetings will come with updated budgets so you will always know the information you need.  Full transparency is key to any successful design project.  Starting with the initial conceptual design a more detailed design will be created, specifying the materials, structural elements, and building systems. The final component in this stage is the creation of construction documents, which will guide the process and help contractors submit accurate bids.

Planning and Development  

A Crucial step in the process is identifying the right location. This involves researching properties that meet zoning requirements, offer the necessary infrastructure, and fit within your overall vision. Once a location is chosen the site design can begin and me integrated with building design.

Bidding

Once the design is complete J.H.Hassinger will provide final construction costs and a detailed schedule.  Though J.H.Hassinger self performs many of the aspects of construction; subcontractors will be utilized.  We have 40 years of subcontractor relationships to call upon for your construction needs but you will be able to provide feedback and recommendations when choosing contractors for your project!

Construction

Construction timelines very by project size but you will be involved as much or as little as you would like.  Regardless of your ideal level of involvement; communication is key to any successful construction project.  Weekly meetings will be held with contractors and weekly reports will be sent to you, the owner, showing what was done and giving insight into the plan over the coming weeks.  Its exciting to see progress!

Post-Construction & Commissioning

After construction, the post-construction phase begins, including final inspections to verify compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Commissioning verifies that all systems function properly, while any remaining tasks (the punch list) are addressed. Once completed, the property is handed over to the owner, and occupancy permits are issued.  You will be able to sleep at night knowing that our warranty is in place, and we will be ready to address any issues that arise.
