St. John's Lutheran Church was modest congregation in Hartford, Wisconsin. Recognizing the necessity for revitalization and improved accessibility to its primary level, the church embarked on a mission to undergo a transformation to meet the needs of the existing parishioners and attract new members to the church community. The aim was not only to enhance the overall aesthetic appeal but also to create additional gathering spaces and ensure easy ADA access.

St. John's Lutheran Church made a thoughtful selection in choosing J.H. Hassinger to lead the construction of a two-sided addition to their existing building. This addition was designed to serve multiple purposes, including providing additional gathering space, housing a pastoral office, and offering a private conference room. A key aspect of this expansion project was the installation of a new elevator, enhancing accessibility for parishioners to navigate seamlessly between the first floor and the lower level. Through this carefully planned and executed renovation, the church not only expanded its functional spaces but also demonstrated a commitment to inclusivity and convenience for all members of the congregation.
