Sheboygan Senior Activity Center

The City of Sheboygan, along with its senior citizens, embarked on a search for a new communal space as the Uptown Social organization's building began displaying signs of aging. In response to this need, Sheboygan County identified an existing structure intending to transform it into a facility that would meet their requirements for the long haul.

During the renovation process of transforming an old grocery store into a vibrant establishment, J.H. Hassinger orchestrated both interior and exterior enhancements. The transformation involved more than just physical tasks; it required a keen eye for design and detail. Walls were skillfully blown open, welcoming an influx of natural light that illuminated the space. The incorporation of intricate woodwork and the addition of fabulous architectural features further contributed to the building's revitalization. The outcome was met with great satisfaction from both the City of Sheboygan and its senior citizens, as the repurposed structure became a lively and appreciated community hub.
